Sarah Palin Stirs Controversy with Blood Libel Reference. Sarah Palin's video statement, released Wednesday, she has come out with a video statement now saying political rhetoric had nothing to do with the shooting in Arizona. Palin also said today that only the Arizona shooter was responsible for the tragedy that occurred - not her, not anyone else. The shooting massacre in Tucson, calling out the media for their “blood libel” in tying her to the tragedy that left six people dead and another 14 wounded.

Sarah’s organziation’s swing district map showing crosshairs has been under criticism since the shooting that it may have contributed to the violent climate against political figures.
“I listened at first puzzled, then with concerned, and now with sadness to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event,” Sarah says in the video.

”If you don’t like a person’s vision for the country, you’re free to debate that vision. If you don’t like their ideas, you’re free to propose better ideas. But especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence that they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.”
