Adult magazine Playboy is coming to the iPad in Marc. The magazine's founder, Hugh Hefner, tweeted the news Wednesday morning, adding that the entire back catalogue will also be available uncensored.
The content will be formatted by Bondi Digital, the same group that put a collection of Playboy content online in 2009, for free.

Hugh Tweeted, “Big news! Playboy–both old & new–will be available on iPad beginning in March.” Through the day he’s been Tweeting, “Yes, all the back issues of Playboy will be available on iPad, & current issues as well” and “Playboy on iPad will be uncensored.”
Not true, said Playboy spokeswoman Theresa Hennessey.
"We are releasing a Web-based subscription service with Bondi Digital Publishing that will give users access to every issue of Playboy both past and present," Hennessey said in an e-mail reply to questions. "The service will be iPad compatible and will utilize iPad functions."

A Playboy application that includes nude photographs would be rejected by Apple, which bars nudity in the iOS applications it distributes through its App Store. iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch applications must gain Apple's approval before they're published to the e-market.
There's no information yet on pricing for the iPad-compatible Playboy, but it will likely be similar to the online edition, which currently costs $8 per month when billed annually and $20 when billed monthly.

But the magazine added it’s planning to release a non-nude version of a Playboy-branded iPad app in the coming months that would adhere to all of Apple’s policies and guidelines.
